THE STASH

X marks the Sweet Spot and this season it’s at the Stash Spot. The second installment of Lost Roads is a double header with portion two hosting some vintage prints from that Indie Sleaze era. We’ve dedicated an entire wall to old Philly nightlife imagery and…if you happen to be in the print, it’s complimentary! Also beyond thrilled to be hosting this reception alongside Lloyd, my favorite local pub and fare with an homage to The Shining. Seriously, take note of the decor! Reception being hosted Friday, June 16th from 6-8pm, Philadelphia. Hope to see you there!

Lost & Found

This past weekend we wrapped up a two month long showing of the “Lost Roads” collection with a proper closing reception at HIVE, and what a treat! Cheers to all the folks who cruised out and for Vermont’s Village Distillery for literally cruising from the mountains to bring us sweet sips of Gin and Maple Syrup Bonfire Bourbon. For real, tho! All prints purchased will be shipping or hand delivered this week and while we are breaking one down we are ready to bring you more — we have another show on the horizon for this fall so stay tuned! Also in the works — summer events, new merch and the revival of the Long Lost YouTube Channel — yeah buds, Botsattack aka Shadowscene TV is back! There’ll be an onslaught of never before seen and old archival material being posted/hosted to the channel in the next coming weeks so get on over there and Subscribe! More details on everything to come!!

THE LOST ROADS ART SHOW

View & Purchase Prints
Excited to share a new collection of photo work, now on display at HIVE in Philadelphia for all of March & April of 2023. Get a glimpse of “Lost Roads”, an on-going project that balances the aesthetic between my street photography and nightlife candids.
Most of the recent pieces on display were photographed during the past few years as part of my re-connection with the 35mm world, heralding my early days of photography from the 90s and the innate nature I’ve always had to explore and simply get off the grid.
There are landscapes from Northern Maine where my travels took me to my childhood roots just miles from the Canadian border, images captured on a day trip to Provincetown where I roamed the origins of Anthony Bourdain, post hurricane excursions within an empty Mid-Atlantic cove, meanderings upon the dock of Philly’s Graffiti Pier and treks along wayward roads at the early dawn on the Eastside. It’s about getting lost and making discoveries and sometimes while at it, discovering others and their lost roads in the process.
A lot of these images represent things that are no longer with us. Dead end roads, rusted roots and a glimpse of things before they were forever changed. Sometimes you stumble upon something that boasts the energy of a time so long gone it seems like maybe it never was. Other times you may be buried in the wind of the reeds while the sound transports you to where another hidden road hums. Perhaps it’s essential to have a bit of exploration into the world before it is uprooted. Those lost roads are where sometimes you’ll find a new path or perhaps only find time capsules lingering with elements of age old dust.

WRONG REASONS

Time to hit the pause button on that hibernation mode and venture out for a screening of this DIY indie gem, “Wrong Reasons”, a project from the realm of Josh & Liv Roush with a pure punk aesthetic and an original score boasting noise from L7, Black Flag, The Wipers and more. This fully DIY project hits the road, ala band on tour style, for a handful of current limited screenings including the Philadelphia region. Get ready for some Kevin Smith cameos (Keveeeos), and other appearances from the likes of David Koechner and Donita Sparks while this feature explores the world within a life of stardom, addictions, broken homes and the incessant 24 hour news cycle. Seven plus years in the making, “Wrong Reasons” treads the curiosity line of what could have been while basking in a multi-generational punk rock world.

DIY or DIE.

“Wrong Reasons” hits the Philly area this week with additional screenings being announced via the film’s website.
